From December 1 to 7, 2025, the Charmission team had a fantastic trip to Thailand. We split into two groups of eight, each enjoying a separate itinerary. Unfortunately, June was unable to join due to her pregnancy. Both groups were expertly handled by our long-term friend company, Khiri Travel.

While the groups toured Bangkok separately, we reunited for a perfect day trip in Ayutthaya. Below are some highlights and experiences from our journey.

In Bangkok, we enjoyed a cycling tour of Bang Krachao ("the Green Lung"). Highlights of the ride included:

Visiting a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple.

Exploring a local weekend market.

Experiencing the Power of Muay Thai!

The sheer enjoyment of cycling through the tranquil forest paths.

 In the evening, we took the hop-on-hop-off boat, enjoyed drinks at a fantastic cafe-bar, explored the historic Sino-Thai community streets, and ended the night with a street food tour in Chinatown.

In Ayutthaya, we visited the city’s ancient ruins by tuk-tuk.

We stepped aboard a traditional teak rice barge and indulge in a sumptuous Thai feast while cruising along the majestic Chao Phraya River, also known as the “River of Kings”, and its winding tributaries.

Of course we had pictures of the whole team.

We also had plenty of free time. Some of us visited museums and palaces, some went shopping, and others simply relaxed together.

We were delighted and honored to visit the Thailand office of Khiri Travel, which have offices in nine countries. Special thanks to General Manager Matt for taking the time to show us around on Thailand’s Father’s Day. We were all impressed by their beautiful, greenery-filled office space.

We're also very thankful to Khiri's founder, Willem, for coming to say hello on a separate day, as he was away from Bangkok during our visit to the office.

We returned from the trip feeling recharged and inspired. The team is already buzzing with ideas for our next adventure!
